“Manufacturing is as much a part of UK plc as any other sector, and is often the beacon that shows the way for other industries - so in that sense it can act as a leader. But isn’t it time for other sectors to engage fully as leaders in the economic recovery?
The service sector is a crucial part of UK plc and no where is this truer than the South West where hospitality, tourism and the creative industries have a very strong part to play. The service sector needs to stand up and be counted alongside its manufacturing friends.”
