Ontrac Agency appoints entrepreneur Alison McDougall onto Board of Directors

Ontrac Agency has appointed events and marketing entrepreneur Alison McDougall onto its Board of Directors. The appointment forms part of the Agency’s ongoing development, including its strategic decision to move further into investing in the private sector and recent partnership deal with Alpha.

Alison previously owned and sold TigerRed, an agency providing event management and below-the-line marketing. She currently owns Relevant Risk, a consultancy that provides risk management advice specifically for those that work within the event management industry. Relevant Risk will continue to operate alongside Ontrac as part of its comprehensive events offer.

Alison brings over twenty years’ events and marketing experience to Ontrac, a cross channel marketing agency with offices near Bristol, Newtown, Shrewsbury and Cardiff.  She has personally been involved with organising car and powerboat racing, conferences, product launches and sampling, hospitality and exhibitions, roadshows, seminars and sports sponsorship – and all with blue-chip clients.

Having achieved her goal with Relevant Risk, she started to reconsider going back into events –  encouraged by numerous requests from event organisers at her regular college lecture circuits.

“It was a big decision on my part to re-enter the events and marketing industry, and one that I thought about carefully” Alison reflected. “I knew I wanted to work with an agency that had the same core vision as me, namely, wanting to stand out in the market place and brimming with creative plans for the future - both for the business as a whole and for its employees.

“And Ontrac is that agency. They have provided me with a fantastic opportunity, their future plans excite me - and I am excited to be a member of their Board.

There’s also a good team here and excellent credentials spanning 30 years which I can complement for both existing and new clients.”

Jonnie Galvin-Wright, Ontrac’s CEO said: “I am delighted that Alison has joined Ontrac. Her appointment came just as the Agency had decided to invest further in the private sector as part of a wider strategy after changes triggered by nationwide public sector cuts.

“Alison’s appointment as Board Director responsible for the whole of our events division is a big step forward in the right direction. Her skills, expertise and track record will be nothing other than beneficial to Ontrac as a whole.”

Alison, apart from being a “fanatical golfer”, is also an ardent fan of the power of social media, and her future plans for Ontrac include a comprehensive strategy to focus on this ever-growing sector of the marketing industry.
